Q Sevens Round 10 2024

Q Sevens Round 10 2024

Q Sevens – Round 10. The Last round for sectional of this season! Two teams from Division 6 already guaranteed a spot in the Finals, Division 5 are fighting for one last win as their season comes to an end. But the two games of upmost importance, are both the Division 7 teams.

Division 7 – Section 1 – LADIES have to not only get a win, but make sure they win all three rinks so as to not cast any doubt on their Finals position. They currently sit on 51 points in second place with Dayboro chomping at their heels, also on 51 points and their last game against the bottom of the ladder Chermside. Banyo are in the mix with 50 points, but a hard task to topple the leader of the competition – Pine Rivers at Pine Rivers which isn’t impossible, but it makes their job a hard one as they will need a perfect score of 10.

The LADIES will play Salisbury, currently 5th, at Salisbury. It is a dire game for the ladies and we hope they can put it all together and come home tomorrow afternoon victorious! Good luck ladies we are all behind you!

Division 7 – Section 2 – GREEN are also in the same boat! GREEN currently sit second on 61 points with Kallangur in third place in striking distance with 59 points. There isn’t as much pressure on GREEN, as they play 5th position Narangba in the comfort of their home supporters tomorrow at McKenzie Park. Kallangur need to beat the titan in the section – Macleay Island, who thus far, have only lost a single game which was to Geebung in Round 7.

GREEN previously defeated Narangba all the way back in Round 5 and did it pretty comfortably. Winning by 18 shots and 9-1 in points. However, this weekend, they are going to have to wrap it up by 10-0 in points to make sure there is no shadow cast on their Finals contention. Good luck GREEN and bring it home baby!

Not much to be said about the two Division 6 teams. Both BLACK & RED are undefeated and cannot be toppled from their respective sections as they both finish the season in rank 1 on their ladders. None the less, they will be terrific games and we wish them all the best to make sure they finish their seasons retaining the undefeated title! It’s the Finals we look forward to seeing for these two teams, they are going to be excellent!

Division 5 play their last game at home against Carina. This would be my pick to watch as its at home at McKenzie Park and it doubles up with the GREEN team. Division 5 could really use the support as they would love to end the season on that W. So get on down to the club tomorrow, Saturday the 16th and support our two homes teams as they grasp for the win!

Good luck everyone and have fun!
