The McKenzie Park Highlanders Ladies Division 3 Pennant team has made the finals!
In a convincing win over Tugun, our ladies did absolutely everything in their power to make sure they were on a one way ticket to the finals next Friday the 26th of August at Tugun.
The end score was 61 to 49. Tugun put up a fight but our ladies weren’t going to let a finals appearance slip through their grasp. The skips on all three rinks put the pedal to the medal, encouraging our ladies to step up to the plate and bring it home.
A couple of close ends made our ladies even more determined to try harder and the vocal support from both players and spectators emboldened them to secure the last ends of the game to seal the deal.
A fantastic journey over the past weeks, the entire McKenzie Park Highlanders & Nerang Community Bowls Club are extremely proud of you all!
Join the ladies next Friday the 26th of August at Tugun Bowls Club at 9:00am to watch them go head to head with Mermaid Beach. GOOD LUCK LADIES!
