The Thursday Pairs will be starting a little later, at 1:30PM giving all in attendance a chance to get some air time and become the next star of television! Get into the club and check out the signup sheet outside the bowls office.

Onto the week that was, it was filled with ups and downs. Just a normal week on the grass where participants really don’t know what’s going to happen until they step foot on the green!

Q7’s were definitely reminded that anything can happen in lawn bowls. With our two undefeated teams taking their very first loss. It seems it wasn’t just McKenzie Park teams that saw their first loss for the season with multiple other clubs with undefeated teams also adding a 1 to the loss column of their results. On the flip side, our Division 6 – Section 5 team managed to knock off the undefeated Macleay Island. This puts all three of our teams in a 4 win – 1 loss state and all teams so close to the top or sitting pretty on top! Division 5 – Section 2 are sitting second, just two points behind Beenleigh. Division 6 – Section 4 remain the dominant force in their section holding onto the top spot by a massive 11 points and Division 6 – Section 5 are also sitting in second by just 2 points behind Macleay Island.

Men’s Championship Pairs was an eye opener as last years champions Peter Horne & Josh White took a fall against Steve Dawson & last years Most Improved Player David Ross who took home a very satisfying win 25-11. Other matches saw selectors/coaches & veterans all do battle with some very interesting games that now means the Semi Finals are ready to rock n roll with still no definite team dubbed to be a favourite.
