It’s not every day you get to see two competitions in the one day played side by side!
Today, McKenzie Park Highlanders held both the Mixed Fours Semi Final and the Men’s Veteran Singles.
Thrills & spills some of the big names went out in a fashionable style, only to be bested by the better dressed!
There was the “Battle of Coaches” in the Veteran Singles – John McMahon VS Morris McCallum, in which both fought till the very end.
Mick “Teacher” Dashwood went head on against Tony “Price was right today” Price with some unbelievable upshots and driving.
The Mixed Fours were sensational when some of the highest regarded players at McKenzie Park went eyeball to eyeball.
There were numerous couples – husbands and wives – helping each other to overcome the opposition. We got to see some extremely close games with some teams just scraping through and others taking a loss on the last end.
We all look forward to seeing the next round!
