The Men’s Pennant for 2023 will start on Saturday July 1st. We do need to have our teams ready by the 10th of June for both our club and the District. The sheet is on the Men’s Board inside the club and there is still time to get your name up!
One of the changes to this years Pennant, is for Division 5 and lower, Ladies can put their name in for the Men’s Pennant. This is a massive change from previous years and now allows Ladies who were not able to play last year because of work commitments, to now play on a Saturday!
There has been some minor changes to the rules made about stopping bowls. These changes came into immediate effect by World Bowls and Bowls Australia. Read more at https://www.bowls.com.au/world-bowls-memo-changes-to-laws-of-the-sport/ It is understandable there is still confusion surrounding the rules as they are not exactly written in layman’s terms, but our umpires – Dean Hall & Peter Jones are very easily approached and will be able to explain the changes in depth.
