On behalf of our selectors for the Men’s Pennant 2022, John McMahon, Tony Price and John Mitchell would like to thank everyone for their efforts. The players, the McKenzie Park Bowls Club , the volunteers and the Nerang Community Bowls Club.
This year was the start of competition for some of the newer bowlers and just another day in the office for our seasoned veterans. No matter the skill level, all our divisions played to the best of their ability. Sometimes in gusty wind, sometimes in pouring rain, but it didn’t stop us from making the most of the opportunity to progress as a player and learn every time we stepped foot on the grass.
In return, we would all like to thank the efforts made by our selectors. Taking time weekly to organise teams, organise travel, our team sheets and help along new players with wanted advice.
We are all looking forward to next year!
A big congratulations to our Division 5 and Division 6 teams who made the finals.
Although the season might be over for some, the hard work will continue for our Div 5 & 6 teams as they battle for the trophy.
