The weekends this time of year are filled to the very brim with matches. Both interclub and intraclub are peaking and generally speaking there are multiple events on both Saturdays and Sundays.
Unfortunately Max Morris Memorial comes to an end for the normal play of the season, with the finals on next weekend. It looks like almost a certainty that Division 3 – Section E will maintain their top of the ladder position and move into the finals, but anything can happen against Paradise Point on their home turf. Division 3 – Section D may just scrape into a finals position providing they get a dominant win over Mermaid Beach at home on Saturday. Fingers crossed the boys bring it home hard, but their position on the ladder means they are relying heavily on results from the other several sections. It has been a great MMM season none the less, and congratulations on everyone who represented the club!
Q7’s move into their 3rd round with two games being played at home on Saturday and one team away at Paradise Point. Our two undefeated teams, Division 5 – Section 2 will VS Coorparoo and Division 6 – Section 4 will VS Gatton, both at home. Division 6 – Section 5 will join our Max Morris team at Paradise Point which will give both competing teams a bit of an edge with support from each other.
Everyone deserves a sleep in on a Sunday, but there will be some early risers with excitement boiling over as the Men’s Championship Pairs start at 12:30PM. It will be a big Sunday as 10 teams take to the green. Come down and support our players and grab yourself a coldy, because it’s going to be a enormous day!
