TIME ALTERATIONS
With Val McCallum & Maurice McCallum playing in the Mixed Pairs Grand Final, and also being in a team for the Mixed Fours, there will no doubt be a change to the Round 1 time for Mixed Fours as it conflicts with the Mixed Pairs Grand Final which is set at the exact same day/time.
Expect to see this changed this week (if not already), we will make the changes to Fixtures as soon as we get confirmation from our trusty Games Director.
GRAND FINAL
MIXED PAIRS
Val McCallum and Maurice McCallum have been sitting patiently in the Grand Final seats, eagerly anticipating who their rival will be for the big day.
The Semi Final they were waiting on finished up – Robyn Fullwood & Shane Stevenson VS Toni Anderson & Peter Horne with Robyn and Shane taking the win in a game that was all it was hyped up to be. It went down to the wire as expected and was a very enjoyable watch. A very close game over all, but Robyn & Shane were marginally better on the day and were victorious, 19-16.
The Mixed Pairs Grand Final will be Robyn Fullwood & Shane Stevenson VS Val McCallum & Maurice McCallum and it is going to be all anyone could possibly hope for in a Grand Final. This coming Sunday the 6th of October at 1:00pm we will get to see a fierce match up with two very strong teams.
Both teams have knocked out some skilled duos, the only thing that sets them apart at this point is that the McCallums have seemed to be more dominant in their match ups, where as Robyn & Shane have managed to get the win but only ever by a few shots. The Final will bring out the best in both teams though and it will be a terrific showdown from start to finish.
IT BEGINS
SUMMER NINES
Summer Nines Round 1 is due to start on the 12th of October. Teams will be coming out very soon (hopefully today) and the draw is expected to drop pretty soon too!
So keep an eye out at the Club and we will update as soon as we get some more info.
