The final of the Veteran Singles was played yesterday and if the first end was anything to go by, we knew this was going to be a hard fought battle.
Not a single bowl outside of half a metre from the jack! Morris McCallum and Peter Macaulay duked it out with each other for a first to 21 game where it looked like during the entire war that it was anyone’s game to take!
Morris McCallum eventually emerged triumphant but not with Peter Macaulay red hot on his tail!
Congratulations to both players, it’s always good to see veterans of the sport show the young guns that practice certainly does make perfect!
Morris took the win 21-17.
