It was meant to be!
Literally our best lawn bowlers from McKenzie Park faced off. With years of experience (accentuated by grey hairs), David (El Presidente) Mccann & Peter (Step Child) Horne VS Gary (Corn Dog) Cornish & Tony (Price was wrong today) Price.
It was always going to be a hard task for both teams, the road to success was complicated with the torturous task of beating the significant masters that taught these rag-tag group of “seniors” the “DO’s & DONT’S” as well as the etiquette of the game.
The grey haired duo of David Mccann(L) & Peter Horne(S) prevailed in a game that was anyone’s subject to take. End after end, it was never clear who was going to be victorious until a perfectly placed ditched jack – signed, sealed & delivered the endurance to persevere for the old timers of the McHorney Duo.
Unfortunately, this signals the end of the McKenzie Park Men’s Bowls competitions for 2022. We look forward to 2023 and wish you all happy bowling, and a Merry Christmas…
