Presidents Day 2022 has concluded! There was an enormous turn out from bowlers from all clubs around the Gold Coast;
McKenzie Park, Musgrave Hill, Beaudesert, Canungra, Tweed Heads, Robina, Burleigh, Broadbeach, Helensvale, Twin Towns, Woongoolba, Paradise Point & Beenleigh all had players present for the festivities.
Everyone arrived without a clue as to what game style we were going to play! It wasn’t until Tiska Craven, the McKenzie Park Ladies President presented us with game formats and something new most of us had not heard of…..”THE SPIDER“.
Everyone got to play on both the synthetic and grass greens, for an unlimited amount of ends, until the Ladies President rang the bell to single us to move to the opposite green.
To top off the games, winners weren’t declared by margins or amount of wins – it was completely random, giving anyone a chance to win!
There was money draws as well as raffles with a numerous array of prizes from puzzles, chocolates, photo frames and even pots for plants!
Overall it was a very enjoyable day with everyone making some news friends, and some of us realizing our bowls don’t always do as their told!
