McKenzie Park Women opened their account in the Pennant Division 3 today with a commanding win over Broadbeach. Winning on all three rinks. (Just waiting for their results to be verified – along with their photos)
The Open Pennant teams for the GCTDBA are solidified for Round 1! Div 5 and 6 at home and Div 7 on their way down to Tweed.
With rain on the way, it is going to be lovely to see how our Division 5 and Division 6 become accustomed to our carpet or grass. It will be a big learning curve for even the best of bowlers.
Toni Anderson & Narelle Foster play the Tweed duo of Lynsey Clark & Claire Turley first up in the Pairs at McKenzie Park. Narelle & Toni are going to have to really step it up to battle the very well established team from Tweed. God knows our two ladies can definitely do it! Get down to support the girls on Sunday 9:00am!
The Men’s Fours are playing at Robina – 9:00am – with Gary Mackay, James Richmond, Shane Ward & Scott Warby taking on the Mermaid Beach. Lot’s of confidence in our boys this year, it is a very solid team and I am sure they will do well. There is a rather large support crew going down to Robina to cheer them on which is fantastic.
