The Australian Open is done and dusted for 2024. Whilst the Club had a tremendous couple of weeks hosting, we had numerous players competing in various disciplines. Being a world renowned event, there was class from all around, far and wide.
Quite a few of our players progressed further then they did last year which was great to see. Some got toppled as they played some highly skilled individuals. All in all, it was a successful year and congratulations to our players for making the effort and giving it a red hot go.
Special thanks to all the volunteers while we played host. The markers, scoreboard attendants, the umpires, the team running it and all the staff and course, all the supporters.
This Saturday the 29th we have Pennant Trials being conducted. We have a Special General Meeting at 9:00am regarding a matter to do with a member, the trials are set to start after this. I personally have been waiting for this for a while, I think it will be a bunch of fun and a great chance to meet some of the newer members as well as play with different people.
With Pennant starting a week later on the 6th of July we need to start the hustle and get ourselves properly prepared and teams manufactured. The Selectors will be on hand, viewing players and putting together the final rosters.

The Men’s Handicap Singles resumes this Sunday the 30th. The Semi Finals get underway at 9:00am. To top the day off, the Grand Final will conclude the afternoon, starting at 1:00pm.
