Men’s AGM Tomorrow

The McKenzie Park Men’s Bowls Club Annual General Meeting is just over 24 hours away! Tomorrow at 9:30AM (Get there at 9:00AM!) we will convene to elect our new Committee for the 2024-2025 year.

Some members will stay and there will be new ones coming in to form a fresh Committee. We ask that all available Men’s Club members make an effort to attend and help shape the next 12 months of Men’s Bowls at McKenzie Park and the Nerang Community Bowls Club.

There will be valuable information shared from our previous Committee, as well as ideas floated from our new assemblage. The AGM itself will run for approximately 20 minutes and there will be plenty of time afterwards to meet and greet our new cabinet as well as get involved in throwing some ideas their way to get the bowl rolling for their next 12 months.

Being a Committee member is often a thankless job. They are all volunteer positions and the bulk of the work happens far behind the scenes. Your average member really doesn’t get to see the work put into making our Club function on a day to day basis – but if you look across the year just been, then you know our electorates did their job well. We always had an array of competition for both intraclub and interclub as well as constant social days. Our Committee did a wonderful job for our Club and the new formation will continue to do so in 2024-2025.

We thank the team that contributed to our online presence over the past year/s; David Baker, John Mitchell, David McCann, Peter Horne, Tony Price, Russel Taylor, Scott Swan, Kyle Asquith and Scott Warby. The amount of work that goes into putting our Club on and around the world wide web takes a lot of constant information and without these guys are website & social media would be blank. We thank you for giving us what we have today!

We look forward to working with the new Committee and wish everyone good luck!
