The Ladies Senior Pairs went off with a bang today with dix pairs going head to head in some outstanding matches.
Some of the big names from McKenzie Park in the ladies section were put against each other with only three of the six pairs involved to progress to the next round.
In a game that was to and fro, Vonnie.M & Val.M overcame Karen.B & Margaret.B to win a tight game 21 to 18.
In another close match up, Luchica.M & Rose.K managed to dispatch Tiska.C & Melitta.D 22 to 17.
Sandra.T & Pat.D ran away in their game against Vick.D & Karen.N. 27-13 was the final tally, but the skill level of both teams could not be possibly reflected by that score. If you couldn’t see the score, you would have assumed it was just one or two points between them.
We look forward to seeing our ladies in the Semi Final on the 21st of August.
