Yesterday we had a returning visit from our friends down in Tasmania for their Annual Tassie Tour. They turned up in force with 34 players and came prepared – sporting a brand new shirt that was brilliantly made. A big fat “Tasmanian Bowling Devils” on the back and some lovely colouring.
McKenzie Park matched their force with our own lot of bowlers and together took up almost both the carpet and grass greens.
They swamped the greens and got straight into the 3-bowl-triples which really turned the heat up! Not that it was needed, the day was almost cloudless and was more of a mid summer instead of a winter day, especially for the Tassie troupe who a couple mentioned where they are from is currently in the minus.
There was plenty of good bowls thrown down and it was a delight to see so many Bowling Devils return from last year.

There was winners and losers from both sides, but it was a mixed group from both McKenzie Park & Tasmanian Bowling Devils that took home the win.
The day was topped off with some nice cold beverages, a hot meal and some good conversation as we waved goodbye to our friends.
We look forward to seeing them again next year and hope they thoroughly enjoyed their time at The Park and we really cant wait to catch up again in 2025!
