The Ladies Champion of Club Champion Fours get underway at Paradise Point this Sunday the 21st.
Our Ladies were matched against Beaudesert but for whatever reason the Beauy Ladies have had to forfeit, letting our girls have a bit of a sleep in if they so desire before taking to the greens at 12:30PM.
Regrettably, Lorraine Frankland has had to step down as Skip for the team due to an injury, but to take her spot is the always in form Margaret Bowdler. Playing third will be Maria Brown who always manages to get those little dark red bowls where they need to go. Jan Mitchell is placed in second and is doing really well on the greens and to get the game rolling, Joy Jope takes up the Lead position and gives the team a compliment of great consistency.
A very well rounded team with a lot of experience, the Ladies will fair very well regardless of whether they are on carpet or grass. An exceptional team to be playing in the Champion of Club Champions, it will be hard going but this is the team to do it. A very good mix of expertise amongst them with Joy making a great lead and Jan having a great draw bowl to assist the prowess of the back half of the team – Maria a strong bowler and Marg at the helm with a wealth of knowledge and one of the most skilled Ladies in the Club.
With the draw not in my hands, I am unable to tell you who they may play against, but you can be rest assured, it will be a tough game and great to watch! If you are in the area, drop on down and give the Ladies a cheer, I know they will appreciate it!
