CoC Pairs 2024

With the weekend just a nanny nap away, we have Pennant on Saturday with three big games as well as the Men’s Handicap Pairs Semi Finals on Sunday afternoon at 1:00PM – https://mckenziepark.com.au/fixtures/

But if you have the time and want to see some excellent bowls from all the winners of the Club Championship Pairs for 2024 from our District, the Men’s Champion of Club Champion Pairs is on at Robina, Sunday 21st 8:30AM.

This year representing McKenzie Park is Shane Ward & Scott Warby. It is little wonder these two are making an appearance, they have both been playing some fantastic bowls over the past couple of months all around the Gold Coast. They will definitely be put to the test straight off the starting line when they they meet in the cauldron against Burleigh’s team of Gary Pearson & Dale McWhinney-Shillington.

Both teams in exceptional form and have been on and around the greens consistently over the past couple of months. It will no doubt be a top game with social media already blowing up amongst the various Lawn Bowls groups with this game being touted as the game to watch in the first rounds on Sunday.

See how Shane & Scott went in our Men’s Championship Pairs: https://mckenziepark.com.au/mens-championship-pairs-draw-2024/

If your coming to watch, come prepared, Robina do offer a coffee stand, but the bar is not open until 10:00AM (sometimes earlier) – no drinks or nibblies available until then and the bistro is not open until around 11:30AM. So it can be a long wait for refreshments and something to line the tummy!

We wish these blokes the best of luck, and good luck to everyone in Pennant on Saturday and everyone playing in the Handicap Pairs on Sunday afternoon! Have a great weekend.
